Hamilton Matthews is the CEO of Acuris which provides a range of specialist business intelligence products to the global corporate and financial community. Hamilton is instrumental in developing the strategy for the Group and ensuring the continued expansion of around 20 products. These include Mergermarket, Debtwire and Dealreporter as well as several newly acquired businesses such as C6, Creditflux and Unquote. He has been CEO for 7 years and ran the business when it was part of Financial Times Group/Pearson and led the successful sale of the business to BC Partners, a London-based private equity firm in 2013. Since being owned by BCP, focus has been on product development and organic and inorganic expansion.

Hamilton joined in 2001 initially being responsible for the commercial and operational activities in the EMEA region. He has served on the board of the Financial Times and has worked for over 20 years in the financial information industry, including a six-year tenure at Thomson Reuters where he was Sales Director for the Investment Banking and Capital Markets division. He has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Liverpool University and regularly run panels on M&A activity at Cass Business School in central London.
